Ojai's Cabin Village: A Timeline

In true Ojai fashion, petitions on opposite sides of the Cabin Village matter (Ojai’s state-funded permanent supportive housing project for unhoused community members) have yielded nearly the same number of signatures.

A petition opposed to the project site has 366 signatures as of 4 p.m. Feb 3rd.

A petition in favor of the project has 353 signatures as of 4 p.m. Feb. 3rd.

So, ahead of a Feb. 4th City Council discussion of the project’s proposed cost model and a critical Feb. 19th Planning Commission meeting regarding the project’s design, I decided to create a timeline of events that contributed to the creation of the 30-person homeless encampment at Ojai.
